Meet the Irish dancing brothers that are taking TikTok by storm
Two Galway-based brothers are dancing up a storm and will soon be swapping the virtual stage for the real one.
Michael and Matthew Gardiner have over 11 million likes on TikTok and 320,000 followers on Instagram.
Not only are the brothers taking over social media, they also have the medals to prove it, with over 50 major Irish dancing championship titles between them.
The brothers started their dancing careers in Denver in the US.
Michael says that it was their Irish parents who wanted them to have some culture: “Our parents were both musicians.
“They wanted us to have some of the Irish culture, they thought that was very important.
“So they put our older sister Anna into the first dance class in Denver and slowly I came along and I said this is something that I’d be interested in.
“I didn’t have much of a choice.
“I was about three years old but I loved it as well.
“I went to school, I went to soccer or basketball, and then straight to Irish dancing.”
