As a young child, Sarah Joseph has always
been more artistically inclined, actively
participating in various arts and crafts projects
and taking violin lessons since the age of
eight. Sarah’s interest in such endeavors led
her to pursue dancing, an activity that has
become a constant in her life up until now as a
high school sophomore in New Jersey.
Wanting a stronger connection to her roots,
she has been learning traditional Indian
dances such as Bharatanatyam and
Bollywood, and is part of a team that
participates in local competitions. Sarah hopes
to continue dancing throughout her life, and in
doing so, preserve and spread her culture.
