Harrison High School’s Riley Dance Marathon Club to host first 5K fundraiser

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — It’s been over two years since Harrison High School’s Riley Dance Marathon Club has been able to hold a fundraiser to raise money for the Riley Children’s Foundation due to the pandemic.

This year, with restrictions easing up, the club decided that their next fundraiser ought to be something big, On Nov. 6 ,the club will be hosting their first-ever Racing for Riley 5K Run/Walk at Cumberland Park South Shelter.

“We were just looking for something new because we basically have to rebuild the program since COVID has canceled us two years in a row. So, we were looking for something new that people would get excited about,” said Melissa Swathwood, the Riley Dance Marathon Club’s academic advisor.
